• I bought this book to see if it might be a good addition for my nephew's baby's storybook library. His family is Iranian-American and while they practice many of the Persian traditions, they don't always know the historical background and symbolic meaning of them. I was so pleasantly surprised to find the story told in the form of a little poem! I loved it, the language is beautiful, and the poem is simple for mom, dad, and kids to memorize and recite. True to the art of Persian poets using poems for story telling, this is a wonderful little book. I am buying several copies to give as gift to family and friends. And I so hope that the author will consider writing stories/poems about other Persian special celebrations.
