• I have all of the books written by Mel Bartholomew about Square Foot gardening. This one updates the material and is much easier to read. Mel would be proud of what the SFG Foundation has written. I recommend this for anyone who wants to start an easier method to home gardening.
• I’ve heard this was THE book to start with for beginner gardeners and so glad we did. It covers all of the basics and more advanced projects. Illustrations are excellent and the author is thorough in explaining concepts.
• The new edition is better than ever. I use the book as a bible for the classes I teach. And I use it as my guide for my own personal organic gardening.
• This is an excellent read! Very helpful information, especially the parts on how to build beds. Since reading I have begun my own square foot garden with containers. I'm growing potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, strawberries, cucumbers, squash, and peppers. So far everything is doing great!
